We, reposing especial trust and confidence in your patriotism, valour, conduct and
fidelity, do by these presents constitute and appoint you to be 2nd Lieutenant in
the 43c Continental Regiment, Sons of Liberty. You are therefore carefully and
diligently to discharge the duty of 2nd Lieutenant, by doing and performing all
manner of things thereunto belonging, and we do strictly charge all soldiers under
your command to be obedient to your orders.
Given at Head-Quarters this 2nd day of October, in the year 2026.
