The 43e Régiment Volume 27

I joined the VC discord group right before the event. I couldn't help but notice @ThecmyDragon talking about the last time he was mentioned in the war journals and it got me thinking about C company's nickname. So I did a little research on Google and found the following:

Dragoons were historically versatile, mounted infantry who used horses for rapid travel but fought on foot, named for their "dragon" carbines; they served as mobile, cost-effective troops for reconnaissance, raiding, and message-carrying, evolving into standard light cavalry, with modern roles in armored reconnaissance or ceremonial duties, while the verb "dragoon" means to coerce someone into doing something.

I know C company is not Calvary, but it is a mixture of skirmishers, Yarl's Guard and line infantry. That's why I was thinking Dragonflys' Dragoons.🐉 After all, one of their leaders is a well known war criminal.:SwordSwing: As stated before, the word "dragoon" means to coerce which makes sense in Dragon's in case. If C company doesn't like the nickname, I guess we could always refer to them as the Baddies of the 43e until we figure something else out.
