Dear mother I know I'm the only son you have been serving with this good man and with my father he passed away during the battle of Saratoga but we won the battle but at a cost we planning to send men down south to get Cornwallis out of the South of the United States/Colonies soon I will be home or not time will till how long will this war last or end soon just hoping that the French comes to help with numbers one day.
